The Ohio Department of Public Safety thanks the more than 900 law enforcement agencies and 34 Safe Community organizations around the state that are partnering with the Governor’s Highway Safety Office to support the 2008 Click It or Ticket mobilization.
Law enforcement partners are stepping up enforcement efforts for seat belt laws throughout the campaign. If a motorist is pulled over for another violation and is not buckled up, he or she will get a ticket for not wearing a seat belt. Stepped-up law enforcement activities will be conducted during the national Click It or Ticket enforcement mobilization May 19th through June 1.
GHSO distributed signs and banners promoting seat belt use to each county. Several safety partners helped GHSO get more than 25,000 Click It or Ticket magnets in high visibility locations and on fleet vehicles around the state. For this effort, special thanks goes to:
